Projects
Projects are undertaken between 6 and 50 units. A few of our recent successes are: -
Beacon Site Crowborough. One of the largest exception site schemes developed in a single phase. Developed in partnership with East Sussex County Council, Wealden District Council, New Downland Housing Association, Moat Housing Association and The Housing Corporation. The scheme is a mixture of 46 rented and shared ownership houses. The site was identified some 7 years before our involvement and only became unlocked because we were able to take risk and satisfy the planning objections of the local community. Completed December 2006.
Ridgeway East Derbyshire. A typical sized scheme of 4 rented and 4 shared ownership units, starting on site in the spring of 2007. Constructed to identify with the local vernacular, we contracted to buy the site and worked with the local community to establish housing need. The scheme was designed to meet this need and a planning application made after consultation with the local Parish Council. We then entered a 106 agreement with the planning authority to formalise the use of the units for affordable purposes. Funding is being provided by the Housing Corporation. The units will be transferred to a registered social landlord upon practical completion which is anticipated to be in late 2007.
